"I got a letter from Australia!"
Although a few weeks has already passed since I left Australia, I still keep in touch with my great friends and host family.
As you know I studied abroad for 11 months last year.
11 months...how does it sound for you guys?
Do you think is it long time?
I thought 11months would be long time for me, because I had to live in another country without my friends and family.
Howeve, my 11 months passed so quickly like as a wind.
I remember the day that I left Japan to go to Australia...like it was yesterday.
Everything all around me was English except when I was talking with Japanese(There were lots of Jaoanese in Adelaide. They were all studying abroad as well)
The views, cultures, food and routines...there were many differences between Japan and Australia.
Sometimes it was good sometimes it was bad to me.
In other words, it was great opportunity to touch another world!!
I didn’t have any fears to go to Australia even it was my first country to visit and I was right.
maybe I already knew that I would have fun and learn lots of things there.
I met many things and people there and they were all new for me and so gorgeous!!
They always made me happy and excited and gave me a amile.
The biggest existence of my studying abroad was my host family.
There were 4 people in my family.
Parents, 1 sister and 1 young brother.
My host mother was so cheerful and she cared me all the time.
I suppose I talked with her so many times and my English was improved by her teaching.
My host dad loved beer so much.
He always drank it. He laughed so loudly,so everyone could know when he watched and heard something funny.
My host sister was same age (and same height) as me, so we were called “twins".
She was very smart, so she skipped 1 grade and she graduated from her school just 1 month before I left Australia.
She was always my private teacher. She helped my math all the time.
My first impression of my host brother was…”cute!”. He was 14 years old and so powerful.
I don’t have any brothers in Japan, so it was great that I had a brother even only for 11 months.
He loved talking, so he always kept talking to everyone including me. He was much shorter than me when I first met him, but he grew up so much and he was same height when I left Australia.
All of them treated me as a real daughter or sister, and I contacted with them like as my real family. Now I belong to 2 families, in Japan and Australia.
